I’M ALIVE

I knew it would be a busy week, just as the calendar indicated, but I never could have predicted it would be like that.  It felt like my life had been turned upside down and at times I felt like I was hanging on for dear life.  And I think I’m still in recovery mode.  And I probably need a nap.  Even though I’m not the napping type.  I have so much to blog about I don’t even know where to start.  So for now, I’m going to give you a little summary/preview.

Last week I…

1. Painted our kitchen orange.  Yes, orange.  I’d been wanting to do it ever since we revamped the living room.  I hated it at first.  Then it grew on me.  And now we’re BFF.

2. Acquired a strange new affinity for owls.  Not the real kind.

3. Professionally photographed a birth for the first time.  The amazing woman that gave me the honor of photographing such a momentous occasion was in labor for 31 HOURS.

4. Helped j format his sales tax presentation just hours before his actual presentation.  And when I say helped I mean I corrected grammar, created structure and added images to his powerpoint presentation.  What can I say, I make him look good.

5. Decided that having red hair is too high maintenance for me and went back to being a brunette.  A brunette with a smidge of red highlights that is.

6. Photographed a 12-hour wedding in LA for said amazing woman who was in labor for 31 hours.  It randomly poured rain and hailed just before we were about to drive to our first location.  I think it was extra good luck for the bride.

Wow-I always knew that you were an amazing woman-and your description of all the events that happened proves it! Doing all this and keeping your cool, well,in my eyes you are always cool, calm, and collected. I think your orange wall, and cute owls are adorable. Have you ever thought of becoming an interior designer?-as if you don’t have enough to do,right? You are amazing!
